OTEA Conference to turn on the STEAM, October 9

imaginary-foundation-art-scienceOregon Theatre Educators Association (the teacher-centered program of Oregon’s Educational Theatre Association Chapter) will present a day-long professional development conference at Portland State University’s Lincoln Hall on Friday, October 9, from 9 am to 4:30 pm.

The theme of this year’s conference is STEAM (vs STEM) Education, infusing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math with the Arts.  And vice versa.

STEAM PUNKS OF OREGON will feature guest workshop leaders who will show you how your curriculum can be (probably already is) STEAM powered.  Any and all theatre educators in Oregon are encouraged to attend.  Click here for more information, or to register online.  The registration deadline is Tuesday, October 6.
