OREGON THEATRE EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION presents
2018 OTEA Professional Development Conference
The Many Roles of Theatre Teachers: A Hard Focus on the Lenses We Use
Friday and Saturday, October 12-13, 2018 – Newport OR
Who: OTEA – theatre educators from around Oregon
What: A day-long conference including discussions, workshop sessions, and social/networking opportunities!
Where: Hallmark Resort Hotel, Newport OR
When: Friday, October 12, 9:30 am to 4 pm (with special evening activities!), and Saturday, October 13, 9 to 11:30 am.
Why: This is Oregon’s only statewide professional development focused solely on theatre education.
How Much: $60 for OTEA Members; $80 for Non-Members
Join us as we examine the many roles we play in the lives of our students, their parents, our administrators, and our professional community. This is advocacy at the most grass-roots level, as we take a hard look at the lenses we use (or should use) when focusing on our work. Student centered. Mission driven. This will be a valuable weekend for all.
Registration is $60 for OTEA Members; $80 for Non-Members.
Please register by Tuesday, October 9.
Rooms may still be available at the Hallmark Resort, though the discounted OTEA rate is no longer available.
Membership in OTEA is automatic with membership in the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA). There are several ways to become and EdTA Member, whether as Troupe Director of a Thespian Troupe, or without any affiliation or participation in Thespians. Visit schooltheatre.org for more information.
