What: a day-long conference including a panel discussion and 4 workshop sessions
Where: The Colony St Johns (7525 N Richmond Ave, Portland, OR 97203)

Why: This is Oregon’s only statewide professional development focused solely on theatre education.
How Much: Registration, including lunch on Friday, is $40 for EdTA members/$60 for non-members
The theme this year is “Advocating for Theatre Education in Oregon, Full STEAM Ahead,” as we launch Oregon’s own Advocacy Leadership Network, working with the Educational Theatre Association to secure a place for our theatre students and educators in the local, state, and national priorities for 21st century learning.
We are finalizing a list of participants and facilitators, all geared to creating an open and grass-roots dialogue around how we can approach advocacy in our daily work.
We will also include a lesson-plan exchange table for sharing ideas you can bring back to your classroom immediately!
$40 for CURRENT OTEA members
$60 for non-Members
Membership in OTEA is automatic with membership in the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA). There are several ways to become and EdTA Member, whether as Troupe Director of a Thespian Troupe, or without any affiliation or participation in Thespians. Visit schooltheatre.org for more information.
